Learning how to play a guitar solo, (whether you are a beginner or more advanced), is a critical skill when becoming a well-rounded guitarist. In this lesson, we are going to explore how to get acquainted with the best ways for playing guitar solos and doing it all without applying any guess-work.
The lesson will cover everything from; deciding upon your guitar solos application of major or minor tonality, positioning yourself onto the best chord tones, and getting the notes to connect perfectly without having to guess.
Obviously, these techniques can be used no matter the guitar type you are using, or the style of music that you’re playing in. Since these techniques are all about helping you with clarifying musical sound they tend to become highly important ways for connecting notes into your backing chords.
To start, you have to understand the harmony of different musical keys (Major & Minor) in which you get your chords from. Then, you need to select a chord from the key and apply a line building exercise with specific formatted connections.
