Albinoni Sonata Op. 6 n. 11 "Concerto San Marco" - II mov.: Piano Transcription of the Opening Bars
An update of one of my past videos dedicated to the music of Tomaso Albinoni: the opening bars of the Allegro (second movement) from Sonata in A Major, op. 6 no. 11, also known as "Concerto San Marco", now with the sheet music included. This work, originally written for violin and basso continuo, is often performed with the solo part assigned to the trumpet, but is rarely (or perhaps never?) played entirely on the piano, as in this transcription I have created.
Please note that the very first phrase, in my arrangement, contains a variation of the original theme. In the full version of my arrangement, which will be published soon, this modified phrase appears only in the repeat of the first section.
