☘️FENNELL "The Minstrel Boy" (for Solo Flugelhorn with Piano)

☘️HAPPY SAINT PATRICK’S DAY! Here’s a brand new arrangement of an old Irish song that I just love. I’ve played this tune in a slow ballad arrangement with the River City Brass Band literally hundreds of times, but never really knew the story about a musician going off to war, being captured, and while a prisoner, defiantly vowing never to play again. Funny: after recording this last week, I now listen back and think, “hey, that sounds a little like Kenny G.” I think it works. Hopefully, you’ll enjoy the arrangement and the performance.
