▶️ I can't teach you how to swim, but I can teach you how to DOG PADDLE on the drums! Dog paddle triplets are so named because the action your arm makes while playing them is much alike the swimming stroke. Super simple, just play TRIPLETS on the snare drum and move the first note of every triplet up onto the TOP TOM. Have fun!
▶️ As always, when you are learning something new, remember to keep the TEMPO down until you are comfortable at the speed you are at. COUNT ALOUD before and during playing and keep notation in front of you to make sure what you're playing is correct. I hope you got something out of this drum lesson!
