For the 7th edition of our Tracks compilation, we shine the light on Italian virtuoso FreakMe. Bringing his signature style, FreakMe delivers 12 tracks to showcase his sound.

Full of rich melodic sequences and basslines throughout, ‘Apollonia’ starts things off on the right foot. Keeping things cool with an entrancing arp before climbing scales in lush golden tones, ‘Apollonia’ sets the stage beautifully for the rest of the compilation. The turning the heat up further, ‘Comfiness’ gives a gritty vibe with a pleasing musical tension throughout. ‘Beautiful Place’ then releases that tension with its buttery synth lines and thick, bending bass. ‘No Heroes’ softens the atmosphere up even further with its brilliant blend of groovy bass and its warm atmosphere. It continues to deliver more and more power
throughoutthe track but never oversteps its bounds.

As we arrive to the halfway mark of the compilation, we meet ‘Cornelius’, a late night gentleman. With its punchy kick and its rhythmic chordplay laid out over a deep and brooding bassline, the track drives our attention and fuels the dancefloor. The use of arpeggios - a common thread of this compilation without a doubt – laid out gently over the mix constantly draws us in and delivers us deeper into the night. FreakMe continues in the same dark atmosphere with ‘Invisible’ before lightening the mood in ‘Icarus’. The next 2 tracks, originally released on the Berlin underground label Kindisch, have been retooled and reinterpreted each, giving another flavor to the already popular ‘Break It Down’ and ‘Infinity Strange’. As we near the end, FreakMe slowly takes us down for landing. ‘Trinity’s calming notes and relaxed bassline create a beautiful warm vibe, before the final decent of ‘Never Knew’. Here, FreakMe gives us one last listen to his arpeggios before touching us softly down on the runway, and brings a fantastic compilation to its end.
