In Age of Ultron, we saw our heroes trying desperately to lift the legendary hammer of Thor, the God of Thunder. While none could effectively do so, it turns out Steve Rogers may have just been being humble. Fans were excited to see him wielding Mjolnir in Avengers: Endgame, but according to Kevin Feige, he really became worthy long ago. In fact, Captain America could’ve always used this weapon, so let’s take a look back at some of his best moments in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Before passing his shield along to Sam Wilson, he certainly proved himself to be one of the greatest heroes of all time. Of course, there’s his dedication to his best friend in the universe, Bucky Barnes, which we saw in The Winter Soldier and Civil War, but he’s also a hero who’s ready to sacrifice himself for anyone if the need arises. Not only does he care for his friends, but he’s even been known to show mercy to his enemies.

What do you think about seeing our hero wielding this epic uru metal weapon in battle against the Mad Titan Thanos? Was it a movie moment you spent years waiting for or did it simply reek too much of gratuitous fan service?
