Started working on a new piece today. “La Folia” by Arcangelo Corelli (1653-1713). This is the simplified arrangement in the Suzuki Violin Method Vol. 6. I think it is not too hard to play but still need a lot of work to sound musical.

I started with Adagio. It requires paying attention to the tone, going from forte to piano. Also, you have to go from 2nd to 3rd positions without breaking the flow. It’s a great piece for beginner to intermediate level players.
