This video contains a brief personal introduction, as well as my first composition on the banjo (the music starts at 0:57). This piece is an example of something I find very difficult on the banjo -- expressing my musical voice through composition. I'm so new to the instrument (three years), and I have so little personal vocabulary under my fingers, that the process is not very natural (as it is for me on the piano). This is an area I'm eager to keep growing in, because the banjo is so much more than just a bluegrass instrument!
