For this week's lesson we have got a great concept that can really spice up a basic 4/4 groove. If you do not own a cymbal stack, you can absolutely use the bell of the ride for this one. Essentially we have stolen an idea from Tool's Danny Carey in which we accent every third note of a straight 16th note ride pattern. The kicks will land on beats 1 and 3, snares on beats 2 and 4.
