I’ve been wanting to put some blues and reds together in a whole “fire and ice” scenario so I thought, what better way to do that than a staggered swipe?

20” x 20” canvas

Colors:
DecoArt Silver
Creative Inspirations Ultramarine Blue
Liquitex Prussian Blue
DecoArt Sapphire
Artists Loft Magenta Deep
DecoArt Copper
Liquitex Pyrrole Red with a touch of AL Black

Base coat was AL Soft Body Black.

All paints were mixed with a combination of Floetrol, Liquitex Gloss Medium, Golden GAC-800 and water to consistency.

**I got into acrylic pouring after playing around with epoxy resin and wanting to do some art with it. After realizing the amount of time it took to prep and clean up, it wasn’t quite as appealing to me anymore. That’s when I stumbled onto some YouTube videos about acrylic pouring and I WAS HOOKED. This was in the Fall of 2020, and with COVID running rampant, it was the perfect thing to keep me occupied and staying home, safe and sound. This art form is extremely cathartic and empowering at the same time. There’s no greater feeling than pouring paint on to a canvas and watching magic happen before your eyes! Less than a year of painting and I’m so honored to be displaying my work in two local restaurants here in Houston – so exciting! Thank you so much for coming along on this journey with me!**
