In this Hold On Loosely guitar lesson video, I will show you how to play this massive hit by 38 Special in its entirety.

The tuning is standard tuning, E A D G B E.

Although many of the riffs found in "Hold On Loosely" are relatively easy to play, there are usually two or three parts being played at a time. I will cover each part individually and give advice on how to make the song sound closest to the record with just a two guitar band.

Besides the rhythm guitar parts, we will take a deep dive into Jeff Carlisi's absolutely killer guitar solo. Clocking in at around two minutes in length, Jeff's solo slowly builds and is a perfect compliment to the high energy riffs being played under it.

I will tackle most of the solo note-for-note except for one section of it that is played under the final chorus.
