“Americana Sunshine” – An apt way to describe the music of a Florida native who writes pop songs that have been steeped in the influence of folk, country, and popular music of the last 20 years.

Sarah Spencer brought her love of the song to Nashville, Tennessee in 2012, where she has been writing commercially crafted country/pop songs in the storied writer’s rooms of Music Row.

Since then, her songs have been recorded by nationally touring artists and heard on radio stations around the country. Her songwriting has garnered her many recognitions and awards, including winning Best Country Song in the 2017 USA Songwriting competition for the song, “If You Drink” (S. Spencer/J. Cirillo/D. Reifsnyder), and winning the 2015 Frank Brown Song Contest with her song, “Little One Bedroom.”

Spencer writes and performs regularly on stages and festivals all over Nashville. Songwriter venues such as The Bluebird and The Listening Room have become regular haunts and frequent outlets for her own material. When she's not on stage, she's in the studio recording vocals as a session musician.

Born and raised in the Sunshine State, in the gently lilting hills of central Florida, Spencer was brought up in the horse capital of the world – a connection to the land that has fostered a deep love of nature, animals, and music.

A n g e l f i r e

In high school, she began collaborating with family friend Steve Morse (guitarist to Dixie Dregs, Deep Purple, Steve Morse Band, Flying Colors) producing a series of demos from writing sessions that would later lead to their first, full length album, “Angelfire”.

“Angelfire” toured briefly in California and Florida and was well-received by fans all over the world.
