Lucid Desires is an electronic solo project by Charlie Cynda (stage name).

Born in 2001, Charlie is a upcoming English musician, producer, and songwriter that has experimented with many genres for over five years, including as a singer, guitarist, and songwriter for the three piece south London based experimental alternative rock band Venus Tykes, releasing the local minor hit "Taxman"; off the bands EP "Roots Uprising" in the summer of 2019, recorded as part of a college project.

Charlie, alongside being a rock musician, has made steps since 2018, to also get involved in music production. He starting off with a pirated version of FL Studio on a tiny £150 laptop, learning the basics whilst creating hip-hop beats. This love for the massive potential to create songs in a wide variety of genres on DAWs, has lead to the purchase of Ableton Live.

During an idle few years during the Covid lockdowns in the United Kingdom, which included the dispersion of Venus Tykes, and moving out into his own flat, Charlie has become absorbed in electronic music, especially French house, alternative house, techno, synthpop, experimental, and psychedelia; taking influence from artists such as Daft Punk, PNAU, Avicii, Aphex Twin, Radiohead, David Guetta, Nine Inch Nails, Depeche Mode, deadmau5, Flume, Skrillex, Tame Impala, and MGMT.
