Gary Chaffee Group A Stickings from his “Sticking Patterns” book… is an incredibly powerful concept. Basically, the rule for A stickings is:
Accents are a single stroke and anything unaccented has to be played in a double stroke sticking… so that first measure would be: R l l r r L r r l l

…notice Chaffee wrote this whole exercise in 10/16 to avoid making these quintuplets… but I’m still feeling them in a “2” meter.
