Today I visited St. John's Anglican Church in Corowa to reacquaint myself with the organ for Lessons and Carols next week. I have been involved with this annual service which will now be the fourth year in a row! This year will be a little different—as there will be no choir, we will be having congregational hymns and a mix of solo organ pieces. This Introit on Veni Emmanuel will be one of them.

Pietro Yon, an Italian organist and composer, known for his works in the early 20th century, created a Toccata on "Conditor Alme Siderum" as part of his "First Organ Suite for Advent." The movements in the suite are:
1. Prelude (Rorate Coeli)
2. Introit (Veni Emmanuel)
3. Offertory. Veni Domine (Hymn for Peace)
4. Communion (Ave Maria)
5. Finale. Toccata on the Gregorian Hymn "Creator alme siderum": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b4itAFtMXLw
