The Alfred Drum Method books are what I used as a middle schooler to learn how basic snare drumming. I use them quite frequently in my own teaching when working with beginners. While I think that some of the methods in this book might be outdated, the solos and lessons are still great teaching tools. As professionals, we should take some time to remember that the basics can be challenging.
