If you follow me on Instagram, you'll know that I had the most terrible of luck with my previous HID retrofits this past year. Some days they would work. Other days they wouldn't. But then they would work again. And then not. It was a constant worry and was widly unnerving to not have that reliability of working headlights. Especially when.. you know... life on the road and living out of your truck.

In step a pair of NOVA headlights. Right out of the gate, the entire look of the truck has changed dramatically and guys... I fell in love all over again. Watching the lights turn on and even switching to turn signals still has me drooling. The wiring is as simple as can be, which I love.

The past two months have been so tough on me with truck issues and repairs. I was feeling defeated and depressed, day after day, chasing one major problem to the next. It really got to me. I think that's why installing these felt extra special. I was so giddy and excited. It was a ray of positive when I was feeling buried down in the dumps. Sappy.. I know.

Now the big question is whether or not these will hold up to the abuse of offroading. The constant vibrations and rough environment for days on end are not kind on products. Retrofits sure look badass and are great for pavement life, but they do NOT like the offroad life one bit - from my experience. No more of that for me.

Time to put them through some paces!
