Hi everyone! Today I'm going to teach you about 10 amazing animals from around the world. Are you ready? Let's go!

LION - 0:30
Our first animal is the LION.
L-I-O-N. Lion.
Lions say "ROAR!"
Can you roar like a lion? ROARRR!
Lions live in Africa in the grasslands.
Male lions have big fluffy hair called a mane.
Lions sleep up to 20 hours a day!
Great job roaring!

ELEPHANT - 1:15
Next is the ELEPHANT.
E-L-E-P-H-A-N-T. Elephant.
Elephants make a trumpet sound with their trunk!
Elephants are the biggest land animals in the world.
They live in Africa and Asia.
Their long nose is called a trunk.
They use it to pick things up, spray water, and give hugs!
Pretend your arm is a trunk and swing it around!

GIRAFFE - 2:00
Now let's learn about the GIRAFFE.
G-I-R-A-F-F-E. Giraffe.
Giraffes are usually very quiet.
Giraffes are the TALLEST animals in the world!
They live in Africa.
Their necks can be 6 feet long!
They have spots all over their bodies.
Stand up tall and stretch your neck like a giraffe!

PENGUIN - 2:45
Here comes the PENGUIN!
P-E-N-G-U-I-N. Penguin.
Penguins squawk and honk!
Penguins live in Antarctica and other cold places.
Penguins are birds, but they can't fly in the air.
Instead, they swim underwater!
They waddle when they walk.
Let's all waddle like penguins!

BUTTERFLY - 3:30
Look at this beautiful BUTTERFLY!
B-U-T-T-E-R-F-L-Y. Butterfly.
Butterflies are silent - they don't make sounds.
Butterflies live all around the world in gardens and forests.
They start as caterpillars, then transform into butterflies!
This is called metamorphosis.
Flap your arms like butterfly wings!

FROG - 4:15
Jump into learning about the FROG!
F-R-O-G. Frog.
Frogs say "RIBBIT RIBBIT!"
Can you say ribbit? RIBBIT RIBBIT!
Frogs live near ponds, lakes, and rivers.
Frogs can jump really far!
They start as tadpoles, then grow legs and become frogs.
Let's hop like frogs!

KANGAROO - 5:00
Hopping along is the KANGAROO!
K-A-N-G-A-R-O-O. Kangaroo.
Kangaroos grunt and click.
Kangaroos live in Australia.
They hop everywhere on their strong back legs!
Mother kangaroos carry their babies in a pouch.
Baby kangaroos are called joeys!
Hop around like a kangaroo!

MONKEY - 5:45
Swinging in is the MONKEY!
M-O-N-K-E-Y. Monkey.
Monkeys say "OOH OOH AHH AHH!"
Monkeys live in rainforests in Africa, Asia, and South America.
Monkeys are super smart!
They love to swing from trees.
Some monkeys can use tools!
Make monkey sounds with me! OOH OOH AHH AHH!

OWL - 6:30
Flying in is the OWL!
O-W-L. Owl.
Owls say "HOOT HOOT!"
Owls live in forests all around the world.
Owls hunt at night.
They can turn their heads almost all the way around!
They have super good hearing.
Turn your head side to side and say "HOOT HOOT!"

BEAR - 7:15
Last but not least, the BEAR!
B-E-A-R. Bear.
Bears say "GRRR" and "ROAR!"
Bears live in forests and mountains.
They are big and strong.
Some bears eat fish, berries, and honey.
Polar bears live where it's super cold!
Make bear paws and growl! GRRRR!
