Annette Joanne Funicello (October 22, 1942 - April 8, 2013)
was an American actress and singer.
She began her professional career at age 12,
becoming one of the most popular Mouseketeers
on the original Mickey Mouse Club.
"Beach Party" is teleased on 7 August 1963 that American film
and the first of seven beach party films from
American International Pictures (AIP) aimed at a teen audience.
This film is often credited with creating the beach party film genre.
Annette established herself as a film actress, popularizing
the successful "Beach Party" genre alongside co-star Frankie Avalon.

"Muscle Beach Party" is the second of seven beach party films
produced by American International Pictures.
It stars Frankie Avalon and Annette Funicello and was directed
by William Asher, who also directed four other films in this series.
This is a sequel to "Beach Party" starring Annette and Frankie Avalon,
and Dick Dale, Donna Loren, and Stevie Wonder also appear in the film.

By the way, Muscle Beach is a nickname for Venice Beach,
so named because muscle contests are often held there.

Gary Usher, who was asked by AIP to write the music for "Beach Party"
as well as the previous film, asked Brian Wilson to cooperate after discussing
with Roger Christian. Gary Usher, Roger Christian, and Brian Wilson wrote
a total of six songs for this film.

1: Surfer's Holiday / Annette, Frankie Avalon
This song is sung in the car on the way to the beach in the opening scene.
Annette and Frankie Avalon sing lead vocals, and Dick Dale's guitar solo is featured.
There is also a demo version in which Gary Usher himself takes the lead
with the same backing track for The Super Stocks, and according to Gary Usher,
he dubbed the vocals of Annette and Frankie Avalon onto this one.
Frankie Avalon's solo version was also included on his album
"Muscle Beach Party And Other Motion Picture Songs"
(United Artists Records UAL 3371/UAS 6371) in March 25, 1964.

2: My First Love / Dick Dale and The Del-Tones
