http://www.vladtv.com - VladTV Battle Rap Journalist Michael Hughes caught up with Aye Verb prior to the start of NOME 4, and spoke with him about his highly anticipated battle vs Goodz.
Verb didn't really have anything bad to say about Goodz. He thinks that their styles mirror each other's in a lot of ways, and he was confident that their battle would be a classic. Unlike past events, Verb wasn't putting too much thought into the potential bias that he might face from the NYC crowd, and stated that if there was any unnecessary booing that occurred, it simply means he was winning the battle. For the record, the crowd was very fair to both Verb and Goodz throughout their clash.
When asked about the upcoming battle between Joe Budden vs Hollow Da Don, Verb stated that he thinks Joe is going up against a trained lyrical killer, and he hopes Hollow can pull off the victory.
Instead of try to get a battle with one of the more current mainstream rappers, Verb instead stated that he would like to battle an older veteran rapper such as LL Cool J or Rakim, if he could choose a mainstream artist to battle in the future.
