Bartok Romanian Dance for fiddle

In this fiddle lesson I show how to play the Bartok Romanian Dance- the final tune in his suite of five folk dances. This is a simple folk arrangement for fiddle, emphasising techniques such as drones and vibrato trills, typical of Hungarian and Romanian folk musicians. It was collected by Bartok in Transylvania, which was at the time a part of Hungary. It is one of many similar tunes found in my book "Hungarian Fiddle Tunes" published by Schott Music, and its archaic quality is emphasised by melodic "Quint Shifting" and use of the Lydian mode.
