Basic Guitar Theory For Beginners is a great lesson for guitarist just starting out with guitar theory, and would like to learn more about their instrument.

In this guitar lesson you will learn what a note is and how to name the strings of your guitar using numbers and notes. I will show you two different acronyms to make this process easier. I will teach you what the term pitch means and how it relates to the guitar. You will learn the terms we use for moving around the guitar, up and down the neck and up and down scales. You will learn what a Semitone is (half step) and what a tone is (whole step), how to put them on the guitar and how to use them on the chromatic scale. I will show you what a sharp, flat and a natural look like and how we use them in theory and on the guitar. We will finish with the Chromatic Scale, all the notes, how to move around the scale and how to place all the notes onto the guitar neck.
