Bass Teacher REACTS to HAKEN - "Carousel" (Conner Green Bass Playthrough)

It's time to dive DEEP into modern progressive metal with HAKEN! "Carousel" has been requested numerous times recently and today I'm analyzing the 'Conner Green Bass Playthrough' cut, which comes from their 2020 album "Virus". A friend introduced me to this band with "The Mountain" many years ago, but I've missed out on their last 3-4 album releases since then. In this video we get GEEKY analyzing Conner's technique, two-handed tapping passages, pick-muting style, gnarly Dingwall bass tone, and his seamless switching of techniques to serve the song's needs at any given moment. I also discuss the song's VERY clever composition, modal chord choices, modulations, structure, the trippy "duple" rhythm breakdown, and much more.
