First, I explain the basic theory of roots, 5ths, and octaves, connecting it all back to the Major scale and showing you how to find them on the fretboard. After that, I'll walk you through 5 different warmup exercises to get these patterns under your fingers and into your ears. Along the way, I'll share some tips for how to start improvising with this material, as well as a few popular baselines you can check out for additional study material.
