Believe In Me... an original spoken word poetry about sadness, love, friendship, grief and loss, peace, about a saviour always in the shadows never revealing herself. The poetry speaks to anyone who can relate to it. This original poem is about the times when I know my person always believed in me when I didn't believe in myself. It's about the times that made me realise how important your people are to you. There are times when one does feel sad and lonely, I wrote this at a time when I felt too alone. I wrote this when you meet someone you loved , someone with whom you had peace but it later turned to war, someone you never thought could hurt you and that brings about memories of everything Good and Bad.

Believe In Me


At first it was so simple it was just like a symphony,
Where the plan was that you were always supposed to be unknown to me.
But your innocent kindness had to show up just in time,
To rescue me from eternal damnation, I was next in line.
Your love, your praise, your anger at me,
But I know in the shadows you were always there, you see,
Life's an emotion turmoil in my brain,
But you took care, a simple hey wiped off a lot of pain.
We've been vulnerable, broken, hopeless and insane,
but I just realised with you gone there is nothing for me to gain.
I don't think you know how much you mean to me,
You're the light who let me roam around in the darkness, let me free.
My stupid traditions, games, make everyone go so sore,
Your kept up with me, I know it's me you're doing it for,
I'm bad, I'm worse, I'm not a person to be around, people let me just be,
Honestly, I never had a clue as to why you still believe in me......
