Today we are going to learn how to play Brown Eyed Girl by Van Morrison on the ukulele. The song opens up with a classic riff that we will break down with these very cool sliding 6th action. After that we are going to work our way through the song which is a beginner song but it has some slight wrinkles that you will want to know how to navigate. The majority of the song is just a G C G D chord progression with a bridge that comes in after the verse. There is a cool little two measure D7 break that functions as a pre-chorus and after the chorus we have a four bar break with the G chord and then a bass solo that we have to be aware of. If you know where these little changes are then it is an easy song to play. The vocal range is fairly high and you will have to get up there to sing the D note if you are singing it like Van Morrison, you can sing it a whole octave below or try and transpose the song to a an easier key for your voice.
