He also addresses Stephen Jackson's comments about gay players from his exclusive interview with VladTV. Jacskson said that he felt players would initially be shocked over a gay player in the locker room, but would eventually treat him like a brother. Villanueva believes the same thing would happen, and adds that "the NBA is very supportive" of gay players.

Donald Sterling also comes up in conversation, and Charlie says the Clippers players sticking together through the ordeal "spoke volumes" to their character as a team. The Queens native also addresses questions about Sterling being racist, and while he's unsure about the allegations, Villanueva knows the NBA doesn't tolerate that kind of behavior.
