Chris Kamstra - Indie Folkpop - Singer Songwriter - Live in The Bunker

A talented singer/songwriter with a wide range of musical creations. Come see Chris in The Bunker performing a solo acoustic set of catchy songs with smooth beautiful vocals and meaningful interpersonal lyrics ; displaying his charismatic, high energy style. Always being pushed by his local fans, The Bunker show will be his debut appearance with an original singer songwriter.

From the south suburbs of Chicago, his father was a major influence in the early years. A piano player, singer songwriter himself, he led a worship band for forty years. Chris followed his Father’s lead, started a worship band with his sister Kara, and performed for the Church youth group for many years. Known for his ability to let a song go where the spirit led, Chris developed a love for original music.

Influence’s range from passionate and full toned singing styles of Glen Hansard, Chris Carrabba, Thom Yorke, Green Day, DC Talk , The Beatles and Elvis. Chris has played in a number of bands over the years, starting young with the band “LifeItself” in 2001 and subsequently with “The Green World” and most recently “Captain Red Beard & the day drinkers”

This year Chris won Amazon’s first nationwide talent show “Amazon’s got talent” for one of his songs “Dizzy”. Considering himself a simple songwriter, when he is playing and singing, he feels most alive.
