http://www.vladtv.com - VladTV managed to catch up with Chris Rock and Rosario Dawson at the NY Premiere Screening for his new film, Top 5.
Chris began by discussing his experience working with Jay Z and Kanye West, before briefly addressing the newest controversy over the Staten Island grand jury's decision not to indict NYPD Officer Daniel Pantaleo for choking and killing Eric Garner on camera. He stated that the entire situation is "sad" and that he is baffled by how video evidence still isn't enough to make a police officer face the consequences of his actions. Chris hopes that President Barack Obama will step up and deal with the situation.
Meanwhile, Rosario Dawson articulated her views on the issues plaguing our country in a very clear and positive way. She spoke about how these situations occur much more often than the media releases to the public, and she hopes that people will channel their anger to develop positive ways to solve these issues going forward. Rosario also mentioned how people from Latino communities and women and children are mistreated by police as well, so the issue is very widespread.
