"Cast A Line" is inspired by impending events of our lives, as the world appears the same, it's only a matter of time before change happens and we face a loss.

The track was co-written with Peter Pendras in late 2020 during Covid. We collaborated from afar sharing rough demos, lyrical ideas until it was complete.

I believe the final line of the song "cast a line when a star falls in the sky - there's no need to cry, cause it's falling" we can find hope in a desperate situation. The video of the song portrays a couple who fell in love in the mid-1960s, an era-correct car carries the viewer through the entire song as it time travels to the future. Its relatable theme makes you want to see how this story plays out.

For me, the line "Cast A Line" was inspired by the pandemic and all the stories of the people affected. Many stories were cut short, especially for the baby boomers.
