Dead Broke is a song about a man in Las Vegas addicted to drugs, sex and money, which ultimately leads him to a place of despair. As eviction and hopelessness become his reality, he hits rock bottom and suicide seems to be his only way out. As he attempts to take his own life, he cries out to God and becomes reborn.
