Have trouble keeping 1st Fingers in tune (G1-A, D1-E, A1-B, E1-F#)?

First let’s get to know the concept of semitones.

A semitone, also called a minor second, half step, or a half tone, is the smallest musical interval commonly used in Western tonal music.

By practicing chromatic scales (playing and singing the notes) we are one step closer to getting in tune.

From my experience it’s better to LISTEN to the notes of the chromatic scales from a reliable source (like a tuned piano) rather than STARRING at the Tuner.

Practice suggestion:
1. Round 1- Use this Demonstration to practice G chromatic scale from open G string.
2. Round 2- Practice G chromatic scale from D3 (G note)
