➡️ Many of you have been asking for Cigar, and after listening to their track "Legacy Of The 7 Plies", this might be the wildest composition I've heard in years. I'm truly amazed at how they keep it all together when everyone's going FULL BLAST at the same time. It's almost like an abstract skill. Are they "counting" it? Or, just "feeling" it as it happens? I'm really intrigued. Bassist Jonathan Hischke plays so lyrically on top of it all (and somehow makes it SOUND lyrical), and then just rips the song to shreds near the end with blistering fingerstyle runs. I talk about the band's bizarre arrangements, the interesting production choices that support the song's chaotic feel, how Jonathan somehow plays lead bass while never missing any of the song's fundamental accents in the lower ranges, his three-finger shredding during the second half, and much more. WOW! ????????????
