These Coltrane Changes Jazz Phrases will really add some color to your lines! This is also a study in how to play "outside" on dominant chords in a practical context. When playing outside the chord changes, try thinking about highlighting a different set of chord changes or sequence to help give your improvised lines structure while creating tension against the sounding chords. I primarily play chord tones of the superimposed Coltrane changes so that I am really conveying that particular subset of chords over the sounding harmony which is G7 in this case.
