The lesson begins with your choice of either the B minor barre chord, or the easy way to play B minor. Once you've decided between the two, we can take a look at the rest of the chords used in this song: A, G, Em, C, D. We practice switching between them playing downstrokes only, so we can get the chords in the right order and play each for the right amount of time.

The strumming pattern for this one is very common, and works really well with slower rock and roll songs. We break it down, count it out, and then we put it together with the chords from the verse and play it nice and slow.

The chorus for this song is very repetitive. It's kind of like a couple of easy 2 chord songs. We practice the chord switching, and then we add the strumming pattern, and we play through the entire chorus nice and slow.

There's a couple finishing touches, before we conclude the lesson. First, is a bassline that we can add to the verse that makes it sound a little bit more like the original recording. We're taking a bit of the real baseline and adding it to the strumming in a very simple way.

Then we discuss putting the entire song together. Here's the complete chord order for "Comfortably Numb" Acoustic Version:

VERSE
CHORUS
GUITAR SOLO (CHORUS CHORDS)
VERSE 2
CHORUS 2
SOLO 2 (VERSE CHORDS)

If you'd like to practice this song with me, there's a full playthrough available on my Patreon page, where I play through the entire song, start to finish. More information on that here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/57175312/
