http://www.vladtv.com - Cortez spoke with VladTV Battle Rap Journalist Michael Hughes about the upcoming battle between Hollow Da Don vs. Joe Budden on the July 12th Total Slaughter battle card.

He began by addressing the rematch between Loaded Lux vs. Mook, and how the course of the battle weighs more on how Lux chooses to approach it. Cortez believes that Lux will come out the victor in the rematch.

When discussing Hollow vs. Budden, Cortez touched on numerous aspects of their battle. He doesn't believe that Joe will accept any ghostwriting help in order to prepare for Hollow, and he also thinks that Joe isn't coming to simply tie Hollow, but that he really wants to win. While others have been speculating on whether Hollow will bring out one of Budden's exes such as Tahiry, Cortez feels that it would be a bit predictable for Hollow to pull that stunt, and instead thinks that it will be Joe who brings out one of his past girls.

This battle is a crossroads for mainstream and Battle Rap, and if Joe does well then Cortez thinks that many other industry artists will "d*ck ride" and want to jump in the ring as well.
