Focal Point, an all-volunteer, non-profit, has been enriching lives through presenting folk, roots, traditional and international music for 49 years. We have survived a vicious pandemic and are committed to continuing that tradition.

The Focal Point consistently features top-quality local, regional and national performers of folk and roots music both traditional and modern which educates and enlightens audiences while providing top-notch entertainment. We put on more than one hundred concerts yearly and host a variety of groups on our non-concert evenings which include other associated art forms like dance, poetry, storytelling, etc.

One of the hallmarks of a Focal Point concert are the artists’ comments during their performance on the history and culture associated with their music.
Not only are their comments enjoyable and entertaining, but in some cases, they are sneakily educational.
