Dance Monkey Dance! was a 1-man-band from Webb City MO performing an eclectic mix of genres under the Americana umbrella. In 2024 he gained two other members, Craig Jones (Bass) and Sam Clanton (Mandolin). This song is off the new album, "Practice". The music video was shot by Gabriel.
This song was written about the experience he had when his Mother went through triple bypass heart surgery and the literal and figurative strength of his Mother's Heart.
This song features Doug Dicharry beatboxing, ukulele, trombone, trumpet, and percussion ala his invention, the Stompstage. This can be seen in the music video.
This video features his wife Andrea, daughter Lennon, Mom and Dad, Jim and Bunny, and some good friends.
