http://www.vladtv.com -Former Cleveland Cavaliers star Daniel "Boobie" Gibson gives his thoughts on the politics of the NBA and how they can help players invest their money in this VladTV exclusive.
Since seeing success at a fairly young age, Gibson reflects on some of his fondest memories in the game. Gibson says during his training for teams, he would refer to work alone, leading him to be picked in the 2nd recount as the 42nd pick in the NBA draft in 2006. He said he chose to work alone because training with teams made him slightly nervous and therefore affected his game.
Gibson also says after being welcomed into the game, he was disappointed about some of the politics of the league. Since a child, he wanted to be a basketball player and never realized the business side of the game. With the stigma of athletes constantly in the news about financial troubles, the player says the NBA should assist in helping the players become financially responsible.
He says that players can get caught up in wanting to look fly instead of investing wisely. He was even a victim to the flashy style when he saw his former teammate LeBron James in a luxury car. Seeing his teammate live the high-class lifestyle tempted him into worrying about his look instead of saving his money.
