Do this for snappier drums!
This mastering trick is a game changer if you’ve got a flat track or you don’t have the stems for a track you’re working on.
1. First, grab a gain plugin and add 2dB.
2. Then, automate the gain over the track so it comes on/off on a 1/4 note or an 1/8 note.
What you’re doing is essentially moving the output gain up and down.
If +2dB is too extreme then adjust it to taste.
