It's an age old feud between drummers and sound engineers; the kick reso port!

Porting a head can make access for mics considerably easier, but how much tone does the port itself take away from the acoustic sound of the drum?
In order to answer that question, we've conducted an experiment here at our studio using the same drum and the same heads.
