Playing drums in a Hip-Hop band usually takes a little different approach than a conventional multi instrumental set-up.
There are many different things that can be played in Hip-Hop, it frees the drummer to improvise, play some jazz (maybe even brushes), Be Bop, Afro Cuban, Rock, Fusion, or play any compatible rhythm with it. It really helps to be a well rounded musician to play Hip Hop, New Jack, Hip House, Ryhthm and Blues, Alternative, or any contemporary music going on today.
In this video lesson I use variation on paradiddle as fill-in, there is Flam at the first note, bass drum at 2nd note and RL hand at 3rd and the 4rth (FKRL). Next begin with the bass drum, flam at 2nd note, 3rd and 4rth again with the bass drum (KFKK).
#So the basic of this fills was from single paradiddle (RLRR-LRLL) and I change every left hand note to kick, and single note of right hand into Flam.

Thanks for watching. Stay healthy and keep on drumming.
