For week 2 of this #jamuary2024 mini-series, I’m exploring some four-on-the-floor untzy dance vibes. I’m still working on the choreography of switching from finger drumming to quickly turning up the drum track via the mixer knob, but the concept remains promising for live performance! I’m also adding some live conga sounds to the mix after bringing in the drum part and believe the ability to improvise percussion is another advantage of having the option to fade in a synced drum track I’ve already recorded. Also, the RMX-1000 continues to be a beast when it comes to adding dynamics and movement to these tracks and there are still plenty of secrets within it I have yet to unlock!
