Aktuell ist Favorite der fünfte Selfmade Records-Act hintereinander, der mit seinem Album auf Platz 1 der Albumcharts landen konnte. Kurz zuvor saß er allerdings noch im Knast. Doch auch vor "Neues von Gott" war sein Leben voller Höhen und Tiefen.

Aufgewachsen ist er in Essen, seine Kindheit beschreibt er als "gut". Um Langeweile zu besiegen, zündete er schon mal Mülltonnen an oder rauchte heimlich. Danach ging es auf die Realschule. Ohne berufliche Perspektive wurde es dann schwer als Waisenkind. Seine Eltern starben, wie er selbst erzählt, bei einem Brand. Er ging daraufhin freiwillig ins Heim.
