How do I apply technique exercises in my own playing? It’s a common question and I’ve been there too, the truth is the sooner you leave the exercise on the paper and you use it in your own playing the better.

After working with any technique I apply it to a line and I try to use it harmonically straight away, don’t worry about mistakes or anything, try to mould your ideas with any technique until they take shape and your playing will change I promise you.
