Queer Musician - COMBAT MOMMY talks about their transitions. combat mommy is a music artist from Seattle Washington performing multiple genres of experimental music. we sit down and talk about their transitions both as a person and as a artist. we eventually touch on the subject of places for queer people of color in Seattle to express themselves and build community, gentrification destroyed many communities and cultures and the pandemic made this even more evident. as venues open the city is looking different than before and more young artist and working class, queer people of color find themselves displaced for a second time. With that being said now is a time to focus and build, her music has become more centered on Base strengthening, Social Change and Culture Building rather than embracing Nihilism and Anarchy as a solution to inequality, displacement and climate change.
