➡️ My first LESS THAN JAKE song analysis! I discovered this band as a teenager, but had no idea it was them for years. The backstory isn't that cool or anything, but I'm grateful to have rediscovered them because of this punk rock journey you guys urged me to take. I only heard a handful of their songs back then, so I looked for the most song requests for something I hadn't heard, and 2003's "The Science of Selling Yourself Short" from their "Anthem" album took the cake! This is a WHOLE different side of their sound from the "younger" Less Than Jake I once knew of, and is hands down my favorite song I've heard from them so far. Dead serious. Roger Lima's vocals, the lyrical content, the soulful bass grooves, the melodies...perfection!
