Flashback - September 4th, 1997 (UK, US & German-Charts)

This week's FLASHBACK Video brings us back 27 years when the UK Charts were led by an American rapper turned actor with his 2nd #1 song in the country, but his first on his own, assisted by a movie he played a well-dressed role in it as well. Not so fun fact: This chart was never played on radio in the UK at that time because of the tragic passing of Lady Diana in that week.

Meanwhile in the USA it was a deceased rapper with his 2nd #1 song, both after his death. This one was assisted by 2 rappers, one of them was the main artist for the #1 song in Germany that week, a song that he dedicated to the before mentioned rapper. In this one he was assisted by the widow of the fallen rapper and a R&B group. It was the first #1 song for all involved in the country but the main artist had another charttopper 7 years later as a featured act.
