This fiddle tune I just now made up is a mashup of Let It Snow and Footprints In The Snow.
You can learn everything you need to know to play it -and write your own tunes, and improvise on them! - in my ArtistWorks Fiddle School. We’re going on 12 years now, and going strong with a wonderful community of fiddlers of all levels, over 700 individual lessons and close to 3000 individual video interactions with subscribers, which really sets the school apart from other online schools: Anything from the most basic advice on bowhold to an advanced consultation on deployment of the half-diminished scale on someone’s jazz solo.
2024 will be a fun year, with new interviews with great fiddlers, deep dives into great fiddlers’ work, and lesson series on waltzes, more new tunes based on techniques such as sequences, and a new series called “Rag-ology”.
