James was quite an accomplished fingerpicker and playing this song exactly like James does is quite a feat. But as with most songs on this channel, I found a way to break this one down and make it more accessible to those of us who don’t play guitar professionally. I will show how to play a simplified Fire and Rain intro as well as a couple of useful strumming patterns. I will also show you one spice you can add in to make the song sound a little more like what James plays.
